Congrats to new owners... No litters planned for 2009.

Our  home is the Black Hills area of South Dakota!!

Welcome to the home of High Country Goldens and Featherqwest.com.   We strive to bring out the best in our Golden Retrievers.  They are full of drive and spirit who also makes a great family dog. Our dogs are exciting in the field, yet calm and enjoyable in the home. We combine the best of goldens lines to bring out both the brains and beauty of this wonderful breed.  Our dogs exhibit excellent temperaments, are eager to please, have natural hunting ability, and make great companions. We place a high value on their exceptional learning ability. Our dogs possess a merry personality and are quick to win your heart.   We have been involved with training our Goldens for over 20 years.  We normally will take them to puppy class and walks on a daily basis.  We start training from 5 weeks of age.  Training is the key to having a happy dog!!!

"We believe in old fashioned Values and Honesty!!"    We give you the golden "paw" stamp of approval on every puppy!!

Just because a dog is of the "conformation" type does NOT mean that it cannot work in the field, just as being of the "field" type does NOT mean that that dog cannot win in the show ring.....
